Steven Scanlan created Dropline to help writers face the scale of a book without being forced to solve every creative and structural question at the same time.
Method first
Dropline begins with a writing method rather than a list of software features. The structure is intended to reduce decision overload, reveal progress and keep the developing book coherent.
Technology in service of writing
The planned tool exists to support the Method, not to replace the writer. It will keep the workspace focused, make saving behaviour clear and leave manuscript ownership with the user.
